About Us

Hey there, My name is Kris Enders. I'm the founder of the ESL TEST PRO.

I am a former IELTS Examiner for Speaking and Writing, and I have a CELTA Certificate from Cambridge University. I have also taken the CELPIP teacher training course and have written my own CELPIP and IELTS training programs which I teach online.

I have been teaching ESL to all ages, as well as Business English for 20years in both Canada and China.

I also tutor in Language Arts and public speaking for native English speakers.

Language is a skill, it is not something that should be studied like history or science where you are memorizing facts. To successfully raise language skill, just like improving at a sport, we must train and practice.

In this way of thinking, we are not teacher and student, but coach and athlete. The coach writes a training program and the athlete follows it, along the way, the coach sees the athlete’s strengths and weaknesses and adapts the program to suit the athlete’s particular needs.

This is how language is supposed to be taught, this is how I coach it, this is also why I am the last IELTS coach you will ever need.

If you did well in English in high school, then you only need a little training in how to manage the test before you are successful, if you have taken English at university, you may only need one or 2 lessons.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that you need to memorize 1000s of words to be successful on IELTS, Let me be perfectly clear, IELTS is not a vocabulary test, it is a test of how well you can use the standard vocabulary of modern English. Memorizing lists of words is a giant waste of time, Don’t do it!

Speaking class:

First we identify what your level is with a simple assessment, then we target the areas of your band score (FC/LR/GRA/P) and give you practice exercises to turn these weaknesses into strengths, and push your strengths even higher. Speaking class is a workout! You will be tired after speaking for an hour, just like you are tired after one hour at the gym! Also like the gym, your personal trainer, me, is there to watch you and listen to you and give you professional feedback to ensure you get the best results in the least time.

Writing class:

First, we identify what your level is with sample part 1 and 2 questions, then we target the areas for your band score(TR/TA,CC,LR,GRA) and give you practice exercises to turn your weaknesses into strengths and push your strengths even higher. For writing class, you will come with your tasks already written so I can give you personalized feedback on all aspects of your writing and you will get specialized exercises to target any problems with grammar, like articles or pronouns problems.

Reading class:

First, we will analyze the structure of the test and the question types, and change your impression of what the reading test really is, and how you should approach it to get the highest scores on all question types in the shortest amount of time. I will teach you the strategies incorporating Semiotics and Hermeneutics to use in reaching those advanced band scores. We will develop strategies for answering all question types, and we will practice these strategies together like coach and athlete.

Listening Class:

First we will examine the structural mechanics of the test and show you how to use this to your advantage in getting the best possible marks, I will teach you the strategies incorporating Semiotics and Hermeneutics to use in reaching those advanced band scores. Additionally, we will develop strategies for answering all question types, and we will practice these strategies together like coach and athlete.
